It is with a heavy heart that we learned of the unexpected and untimely passing of Prof. Dr. Philipp Sandner, a bright mind, friend, and mentor. If you had the privilege of knowing Philipp, we are sure you need not be told of the way in which he was able to inspire people with his natural curiosity, unique intellect, and incredible kindness. Chances are, you too are among the countless people whose lives were changed for the better as a result of having known Philipp.

Philipp was a pioneer in his field, someone who recognized the value of coming together and exchanging thoughts. Hence, in 2018 Philipp, together with his Frankfurt School Blockchain Center, invited for the first CAC to bring together a line-up of the next generation of disrupters and thought-leaders in the blockchain space.

In memory of Philipp, we will carry forward his legacy by continuing to host Crypto Assets Conferences and bringing together experts, founders, regulators, lawyers and academics in Frankfurt to discuss the latest developments in Digital Assets, Tokenization, Web3 and Bitcoin.
