Benjamin Duve (European Central Bank)
Benjamin Duve is part of the Market Infrastructure and Payments Directorate at the European Central Bank. In his role he is tasked with the long-term vision for tokenisation of money and assets including wholesale central bank money settlement. This vision comprises all aspects around issuance, post-trade, collateral, and wholesale payments (both domestic and cross-border) and the roles the central bank plays to derive a vision for the future of capital markets and wholesale payments. Benjamin is an experienced banking executive with a proven track record on executing in the traditional as well as the blockchain and DLT related environment. In his previous role at BNY Mellon he was part of the leadership team of the Digital Asset Unit. In his enterprise wide role he was the lead for tokenization globally, but also looked at digital assets and the potential opportunities they offered broadly across the organization and business lines.
