Rudolf Siebel (BVI German Investment Funds Association)

Rudolf Siebel is Managing Director at BVI German Investment Funds Association, overseeing legal, regulatory affairs, and market research. With expertise in both German and EU investment fund regulations, Siebel is a proponent of standardization across the asset management value chain.

He represents BVI on the advisory board of the German financial regulator, BaFin, and is a member of the European Commission Expert Group on European Financial Data Space, having contributed to its Open Finance report. Additionally, he was engaged with the ESMA Post Trade Standing Committee and the EU Commission European Post Trade Forum. A former Vice Chair of the International Securities Market Practice Group and a past associate of Moody's Investors Service, Rudolf Siebel began his career at BVI. He holds a Master of Law degree from Georgetown University and is notably versed in crypto, blockchain, and digital assets, marking his importance in the digital transformation of asset management.
